Lately, there has been a lot of feedback about parking at the Hilton, our host location since February 2009. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We can assure you that we’re working on this issue and welcome your continued feedback to help improve our programs.
At our next luncheon on November 11, we expect to have a large turnout for two reasons. First, this is the same day as our annual Half Day with a Pro program. We anticipate many of the participating students will join us for the luncheon too.
The other reason is the program topic. Our chapter’s “Meet the Media” program has proven to be a popular and well-attended event. We’ll be moving this edition from the morning to the luncheon slot.
During this installment of “Meet the Media,” we’ll hear from The Indianapolis Star. Panelists will include senior editors Jenny Green and Steve Berta, along with Cathy Kightlinger, “Talk of Our Town” columnist.
Attendees will get the full scoop on recent revisions to staff, sections, reporting policies, editorial boards and overall content. In addition, we’ll learn about how the Star is now approaching online coverage, including video.

I'm grateful that luncheon attendees are completing the survey after each event to let us know how things are trending so that we can course correct. The Hilton is a great venue for many reasons, and we hope to be able to work through the parking issues and not lose any attendees in the process!
